Rather like a hotel?

Yes, in as much as everything is under one roof. Tenants can be away for a lengthy period of time, but everything is in order and ready to enjoy the moment they return. It’s convenient, with little or no maintenance.

What kind of lifestyle do they appeal to?

A lock and leave property is the right solution for a variety of people. Some want a bolt hole while they are waiting to make a purchase, others need a base that is close to the right school. People are becoming more transient. They have several homes around the world and want a property that has everything they need without the stress of regular upkeep.

Lifestyle features are popular. The Lancasters residential building (below) overlooks Kensington Gardens in London and has a swimming pool and gym, as well as 24-hour concierge and valet parking.
